Cellular biomarkers

László Homolya and Balázs Sarkadi

In close collaboration with groups analyzing nucleic acid-based and protein biomarkers, we analyze the expression, localization, trafficking and function of relevant membrane components by cell biological approaches such as flow cytometry, high-content screening, confocal and super-resolution fluorescence microscopy. The results of these studies will be strongly coupled to bioinformatic analysis of molecular genetics and cellular phenotypes. Detailed and complex investigation of cell-based markers has key importance in finding proper prognostic, predictive, and personalized biomarkers for translational medical research.
